Antoinette received a Post-baccalaureate Intramural Research Training Award (IRTA) conducting research at the NIMH Office of the Clinical Director. She is currently a medical student at Duke University School of Medicine. Link

Dustin Grossman, Neuroscience Postbaccalaureate. October 2018 - May 2021
Dustin received his MS in Medical Sciences at GSU. He is currently a forensic technician for DeKalb Medical Examiner's Office in GA.

Nitheyaa Shree Ramesh, Neuroscience Undergraduate. August 2019 - June 2021

Nitheyaa is currently a Marshall Scholar at the University of Bristol, Biochemistry Ph.D. program.  Link

Fernanda Tallard, Neuroscience Undergraduate Researcher and Postbac, May 2017 - September 2018.

Fernanda received her B.S. in Neuroscience in 2017.  Her major hobby is computer graphics.  Link

Sam received her Ph.D. at the University of North Carolina in the Biological and Biomedical Sciences Program.  Link

Yarely is currently an Assistant Professor in Science at the Berea School of Ministry.   Link

Arlene George, Neuroscience Institute Graduate Student

Arlene received her Ph.D. in May 2022. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Margolis and Abraira labs at Rutgers University.  Link

Dina Yakout, Neuroscience Institute Graduate Student

Dina received her PhD in Neuroscience at GSU in March 2023. She is currently a lecturer in the Biology Department at GSU.  Link

Ruy Tobar Mosqueira, Postbac

Ruy was a postbac researcher who was analyzing how disruptions in protein ubiquitination impacts spatial behaviors in adulthood and in aging. He is currently a research specialist at Emory National Primate Center. Link

Bailey Cottrill, Undergraduate Researcher, November 2016 - June 2018

Bailey received her B.S. in Neuroscience at Georgia State University in 2018. She was an honors student and a member of the Nu Rho Psi honor society. In her free time, Bailey loves to paint, hike, and volunteer with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Kayja Collett, Neuroscience Undergraduate Student

Kayja is a senior undergraduate student pursuing the neuroscience pre-medical track at Georgia State. Her project was focused studying neurovasculature changes in neurodegenerative disorders, such as Gordon Holmes syndrome. Link

Jayashree is currently a medical student at St. George's University School of Medicine.

Adi Mehtani, Biology Undergraduate. August 2021 - January 2022

Adi is currently an Oncology Clinical Research Coordinator at HCA Healthcare in Asheville, NC. Link

​Amin received his PhD in Neuroscience at GSU in January 2023. He is currently a Scientific Communications Manager at Red Nucleus.  Link

Christopher Ware, Summer volunteer Undergraduate, summer 2016


Chris received his MS degree in Neuroscience at GSU in 2023. He is currently a Research Specialist at Emory National Primate Center.  Link

Brent Henry, High School Student

Brent was a summer 2024 ION student. His project was focused on testing a new viral-based Ca2+ sensor in mouse hippocampus and analyzing Ca2+ imaging data in awake behaving mice performing a spatial task. He is currently an undergraduate at Georgia Institute of Technology majoring in Computer Engineering. Link

Dominique Granville, Neuroscience Master's Student

Dominique completed his M.S. degree in May 2022. He is a PhD graduate student in Biology at the University of Oregon in fall 2022.  Link

Vishrut Thaker, Neuroscience Undergraduate Student

Vishrut completed his honors thesis project in collaboration with the Feresin Lab researching the endothelial function and cognitive performance of clinical trial patients with hypertension on a blueberry powder diet. Vishrut is currently applying to medical school. Link

Joseph Sexton, summer ION student, research volunteer, June 2018 - August 2019

Joseph is currently pursuing a B.S. in Neuroscience at Vanderbilt University, where he is both an Honors Scholar and a Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholarship recipient. Aside from his research interests in major depressive disorder, Joseph also has passions in science journalism, medicine, and mental health advocacy. Outside of academia, he enjoys playing ultimate as well as reading and performing poetry.  Link
